Rachid Dati sacked!

Rachida Dati, the french Minister of Justice is to quit the government for a seat at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Dati returned to work five days after giving birth to her daughter Zohra, in order to fight for her position.

She was chosen by the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy to symbolise the change and the diversity. She beacame Minister in 2007 but was frequently accused of reforming and causing crisis in the Justice Minister with her authoritrian way of leading.

It seems that Sarkozy, changed his mind and asked her to run for election in Europe and leave the government after the vote. Dati is the second on the election list for the UMP (centre right)in the Paris region. She will keep her ministry job until the election.

Then, she will leave her fastuous offices in Place Vendôme for the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
